Our people are at the heart of everything we do. With over 60 staff and 180 volunteers, we’re a friendly, collaborative team creating memorable experiences for every visitor.

Our leadership team

Chief Executive
Andrew brings over 30 years’ experience leading major heritage and cultural organisations, with a strong track record in transformation, fundraising and capital projects.
Director of Operations & Deputy CEO
Phil leads operations and visitor experience, bringing over 20 years’ experience across major cultural organisations including National Museum Wales and Te Papa.
Director of Finance
Emma leads finance and governance, bringing over 15 years’ experience in charity finance and a strong focus on sustainability and stewardship.
Director of People & Development
Louisa leads fundraising, people and volunteer teams, bringing over 25 years’ experience across charities and heritage organisations.
Director of Marketing & Experience
Beth leads marketing, digital and visitor experience, bringing extensive experience in audience growth and brand transformation across the cultural sector.
Director of the Brunel Institute
James leads the Brunel Institute, overseeing collections, research and learning to bring new perspectives and stories to Bristol Dockyards.
