Emma Hussey – Director of Finance 

As the Finance and Governance lead at Bristol Dockyards, Emma oversees the Trust’s financial strategy and makes sure our Trustees and senior leaders have the clear, accurate information they need to fulfil their responsibilities with confidence. Her role is all about ensuring the organisation is on strong financial footing so we can continue delivering our mission for years to come. 

Emma is a charity finance specialist with 15 years’ experience in the sector. Before joining SS Great Britain, she was Group Financial Controller at the Soil Association and previously Financial Controller at St Peter’s Hospice, two of Bristol’s most well‑known and respected charities. 

She is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the ICAEW, and is passionate about bringing strong financial stewardship and good governance to organisations that make a difference. 

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Emma on or near a netball court. She is an enthusiastic player and a junior netball coach too!
