Andrew Edwards - Chief Executive

Andrew is a cultural‑sector chief executive with over 30 years of senior leadership experience across some of the UK’s most prestigious heritage, arts, and charitable organisations. With a track record of delivering organisational transformation, capital programmes and high‑value fundraising campaigns, he has consistently led complex institutions through periods of change, strategic repositioning, and growth.

Andrew’s career spans chief executive and executive director roles across the sector, including Canterbury Cathedral, St Paul’s Cathedral, the National Churches Trust and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

A specialist in major fundraising, Andrew secured more than £36m for Canterbury Cathedral, successfully raising substantial public, private, and philanthropic support in both the UK and the US. His expertise includes heritage, visitor‑experience development, commercial enterprise growth, stakeholder engagement and international partnerships with institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Getty Centre.

Alongside his executive career, Andrew has served as a trustee, advisor, and board member for several cultural and civic bodies, including Brighton Pavillion and Museums, Tenby Museum & Art Gallery and The Creative Dimension. Andrew also sits on the Bristol One City Cultural Board.
