School Trips for SEND Learners

We offer visits designed for schools and learners with additional needs.

Children sweeping

Your group can take part in sensory‑focused workshops, guided tours with support, or use self‑guided activities during your visit to Bristol Dockyards.

Whether you want a hands‑on workshop, a chance to explore the ship at your own pace, or resources to support sensory learning, we can help you plan a visit that suits your pupils’ needs. After you book, we’ll contact you to plan the best experience.

How We Support You

Every group is different and we want everyone to be comfortable and have an inspiring day. That’s why we offer:

Designed for you

We offer flexible workshop lengths and content, quiet spaces for rest when needed and resources you can use before or after your visit.

Access and facilities

We have a fully accessible site and our visual stories and sensory guides help prepare learners before your visit.

Tailored Workshops

Free Self-guided activities

“You really made our children welcome, not many places can accommodate our SEN pupils – the workshop was so wonderfully set up we could allow our pupils to roam independently. They all came back super excited, this is a rare chance for them to get out in the community.”

New Fosseway Teacher

“Fantastic, great sensory activities for children who cannot concentrate for long periods of time.”

St John’s Year1 Teacher

“Children really enjoyed exploring and getting involved with the sensory story.”
