Gifts in Wills
Leave a gift to safeguard the legacy of this historic icon.

Why leave a gift?
Leave a gift to help ensure the legacy of the SS Great Britain can continue touching lives for generations to come.
A gift of any size makes a huge difference. People choose to support us fin this way or a number of reasons, ranging from a personal connection to the ship to a love of maritime heritage or honouring a relative or loved one. We also accept group in-memory donations and funeral donations.
By leaving a legacy (also known as a gift in your will) or a gift in memory, you will be supporting vital charitable work. Every penny helps to conserve the SS Great Britain, uncover its stories and safeguard it for the future

Planning your legacy
Time to reflect
You may have thought about writing or changing your will because of a recent life change; we understand these can be delicate or difficult times. We also understand you will want to ensure your closest family and friends are taken care of before considering any charitable bequests.
Seeking the right guidance
Setting out our final wishes is an incredibly important act for anyone to do, and we encourage conducting adequate research and seeking legal advice throughout the process.
Your place in our story
There is no obligation to let us know if you include us in your will; however, those who have done so become part of our Corlett Society. Named after Ewan Corlett, the naval architect who led the salvage of the SS Great Britain from the Falkland Islands, this society offers membership with like-minded people, and an annual event at our site.
